Name: David Talbot Birth year: 1917 Death year: 1991 Age at death: 74 Nationality: British Occupation: Talamascan Superior General David Talbot is an elderly man who was befriended by the vampire Lestat, who visited him frequently in his English home. During the many late night discussions they shared during Lestat's visits, Lestat offered David the Dark Gift of eternal life which David firmly refused time and again. It was after Lestat chose the shelter of David's home after a failed attempt to end his immortal life by exposing himself to the destructive rays of the Gobi Desert sun that David's life was forever altered. Once Lestat was recovered and despite David's sound warnings, Lestat chose to swap his vampiric body temporarily for the mortal one of Ragland James. Later, with David's help, Lestat regained his own body but in a flurry of macabre events, David and Ragland James' bodies were swapped and Ragland James (in David Talbot's 74 year old skin) was killed, leaving David in a much younger body.
